STS Group is proud to have successfully delivered a major turnaround project for EQUATE Petrochemical Company, supporting both the Ethylene Unit (EU) and the Ethyl Benzene Styrene Monomer (EBSM) packages.
This large-scale turnaround involved meticulous planning and seamless on-site execution, with a workforce of over 3,000 personnel. A total of 861,280 manhours were completed with zero lost-time injuries (LTI), reflecting a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
In Ethylene Unit II, critical maintenance activities included:

Replacement of packing in the C2301 water wash drum

Full tray replacement in the C2317 oily water stripper

Servicing of approximately 200 control valves

Hydro jet cleaning of 21,000 heat exchanger tubes

Overhaul and replacement of furnace Motor-Operated Valves (MOV)
In the EBSM unit, key achievements included:

Hydro jet cleaning of 52,760 tubes within a single heat train in a confined space

Cleaning of 19,258 tubes in a vertical exchanger without man entry using advanced sentinel technology

Early completion of floating roof replacement in a benzene storage tank
