PDO and STS recently marked a major safety milestone: 5 million safe man-hours without a Lost Time Incident (LTI) in the North Maintenance Integrity Contract (MICN) as of 31st March, 2025. This achievement highlights the strong commitment to safety by all involved.
To honor this, Mr Said Al Maktoomi, UDP PDO, presented a plaque to STS, at a ceremony in PDO Muscat.
This success is a result of collective effort, with STS employees and partners consistently upholding safety standards under PDO’s guidance. The leadership team effectively managed challenges, including overseeing a diverse workforce of 4,500 in complex work environments.
Both PDO and STS credit this milestone to strong leadership and initiatives such as fostering a collaborative culture, the “Boots on Ground” program, reinforcing interventions, and prioritizing employee welfare, all of which inspire a pursuit of safety excellence. This accomplishment demonstrates their shared vision of a safe workplace.
