The BOG Re-liquefaction maintains the pressure in 3 x 50,000 m3 storage tanks by liquefying Boil Off Gas (BOG) during various operating cases. The BOGRe-liquefaction is a cascade system, comprising three open BOG Re-liquefaction cycles and one closed Propane Refrigerant Cycle System (Re-condensation system) to sub-cool the condensed BOG.

The complete package, including all the mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical equipment, is installed outdoors in Sokhna Port, Egypt. Highly tailored control logic is implemented to control the operation of the BOG Re-liquefaction system during various modes of operation.

Very stringent fire protection requirements apply to the complete package with all hydrocarbon piping and equipment covered in various passive fire protection systems such as intumescent or insulation type.

Sonker terminal will serve as the main supply of LPG to the Egyptian network.
