Scope: The refractory maintenance for the Anode Baking Plant includes the following scope: Replacement of ceramic fibre in expansion, replacement of wedge bricks, pit floor slab (tile) repairs, patching flue wall cracks, flue wall repairs, head wall repairs, flue wall straightening including mortar pointing, internal and external flue wall construction on the flue wall build platform, flue wall replacement, top sealing (top 33% CF removal and replacement), degassing joints cleaning, peep-hole repairs and mortar pointing, removal and recasting of the head-wall crown, removal and replacement of the head-wall closing slab, removal and replacement of the flue wall top blocks of the pot and superstructure in the pot rooms, and provision of manpower for pot start up.
